Traditional Social administrative system and traditional King still exists in Karbi Anglong. The Karbis of Rongkhang area still follow their own traditional system of administration and social custom. The LINDOKPO(Recho) or King has a strong control over all socio-cultural and religious activities within his territorial jurisdiction.
The present Rongsopi or Capital of Karbi King is situated at RONGHANG RONGBONG a few kilometer south of Hamren. Ronghang Rongbong is surrounded by green forest and ancient trees.
